Fernando Stevenson, JTC West School Principal
Fernando Stevenson comes to JTC Academy West as a dedicated educator entering his 23rd year in education, bringing over two decades of deep commitment to the students and communities of East St. Louis and Cahokia Heights. His journey in education began in the classroom, where he spent 17 impactful years as a high school English Language Arts teacher in East St. Louis. Throughout his career, he has served in a wide range of leadership and student support roles, including Boys' Basketball Coach, Behavior Interventionist, Dean of Students, and College & Career Readiness Specialist. Now in his fifth year as an administrator, he combines extensive instructional experience with a passion for school leadership to drive student success.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication, a Master’s in Education, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.
