Dr. Mitchell brings a wealth of experience, a commitment to educational equity, and a strong belief in the potential of every student. His leadership style aligns perfectly with our mission to provide a safe, trauma-informed, and academically rigorous environment for our youth.

Courtney Jewell, M.ED, Il Type 75
JTC West Principal
Courtney Jewell serves as the Principal of JTC Academy West, bringing a wealth of experience in special education, autism spectrum disorders, and trauma-informed care. She holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree and has earned the Illinois Type 75 certification, qualifying her for administrative roles within the state's educational system. Her qualifications suggest a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
